Tons Of Tufa

I am probably way too obsessed with these mineral formations, but I had all of these photos which (in my humble but prejudiced opinion) were pretty cool, and I just had to do something with them! Photographed in early October 2002 at Mono Lake, California...near the town of Lee Vining. This is my third visit to this spot..and it always looks a bit different each time depending on the time of year, time of day, lighting, cloud cover, etc. Rather than overload my main gallery page with too much of the same subject matter, I decided to post the bulk of the images here for those that desire further study. I hope at least one or two of you out there find something to enjoy!
