This is an alternate rendering of my image "Peaceful Stream"..in fact, this is the first version that I fully completed. There were a number of things that I actually liked more about this one...the grass and sky colorings were more "realistic", and the butterflies were looking particulartly cool. On the other hand, the stream didn't grab me like I wanted, and the background mountains didn't seem separated enough from the foreground elements, even with some blurring applied. Also, the texturing of the rocky bluff wasn't displayed because of the shadows (yes, I know that's not a good reason!). Nonetheless, I kind of like it! The grasses and flowers are from 3DPlants.com; the butterfly model came with Ray Dream Studio; the textures are either derived from macro photos, or were created in Photoshop.
